Appeal: Assault, Dewsbury

Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault at the BP Garage on Savile Road in Dewsbury.

Officers were called at 8.45pm on Wednesday, 16 September to reports of a large group of males congregating on the forecourt.

One man was taken to hospital, where he received treatment for a head injury after being hit with a hammer.

Officers would like to appeal to anyone who was in the garage at the time, or anyone who witnessed the assault take place.
