Serious Collision, Goodleigh, near Barnstaple

Shortly before 1922 hrs on Wednesday 27th May 2020, a two vehicle Road Traffic Collision occurred outside Dean Farm, Goodleigh, Barnstaple between a black Suzuki motorcycle and a Red Honda agricultural quad bike, which was drawing a trailer.

As a result of the collision, the motorcycle rider, a 45 year old male from the Braunton area, suffered serious head injuries and was airlifted by Air Ambulance to Derriford Hospital, where his injures are being described as life changing.

The rider of the Quad bike, a 73 year old local male, was uninjured.

Local officers, as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team, attended the scene and, after a forensic investigation, the road was re-opened as soon as possible.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Police on 101, quoting log number 784 of 27th May 2020.
