Man Arrested Following Assault on Police Officers, Bradford

At about 8.30am today (Wednesday) police attended an address in The Grove, Idle to locate a wanted man.

Officers forced entry to the property and were assaulted by a man with a knife.

Two officers were injured and required hospital treatment.

Their injuries are not life threatening.

A man has been arrested and taken into custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, said:

“Officers from Bradford District CID are continuing enquiries into this incident, which is being treated as an isolated matter.
