'The Darkness That You Fear' gets re-worked...

American DJ and producer* The Blessed Madonna* has remixed ‘The Darkness That You Fear’, the latest single from *The Chemical Brothers*. Her remix is a heavier, dance-floor ready version that brings a new intensity to the track.

The Blessed Madonna has worked with the Chemical Brothers before, previously opening for the British electronic music duo on their US tour. She has also worked with artists like Dua Lipa, Robyn and Celeste. In 2020, she collaborated on Dua Lipa’s remix album ‘Club Future Nostalgia’ which reached the top of the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

The Chemical Brothers will appear at Latitude festival (Saturday 24th July 2021), Creamfields festival (Friday 27th August) and TRNSMT festival in Glasgow (Sunday 12th September). In 2020, they won Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording (‘Got to Keep On’) and Best Dance/Electronic Album (No Geography).

The duo recently released a 12” vinyl of ‘The Darkness That You Fear’ to celebrate Record Store Day. It also features the new track ‘Work Energy Principle’ which will be released digitally in July. The song is also the soundtrack to this year’s EUFA Euro 2020, as chosen by the BBC.

The pair's Tom Rowlands comments: “'The Darkness That You Fear' is a hopeful piece of music. When we found the combination of the different voices worked set to the flow of the music it made us feel optimistic, like it was something we wanted to share.”

Tune in now.
