Deal struck which means all 75 members of staff keep their jobs...

Retailer *Dawsons Music* has been bought over, protecting all 75 members of staff.

The firm was founded in 1898, and has become a recogniable landmark across the UK and Northern Ireland.

A music instruments hub, the chain - which numbers six outlets - fell into administration following the COVID-19 shutdown.

Now Manchester Music entrepreneur Andrew M. Oliver and his wife Karen Oliver have pieced together a deal to take over the company.

The deal preserves all six shops alongside the 75 members of staff. Andrew comments:

“I’m excited to be taking on such a well-established brand with a strong heritage and huge potential. It would have been a huge loss for a business that is so well known and loved to close its doors for good. My wife and I are relishing the opportunity to lead such a strong team at Dawsons. Both businesses completely complement each other.”
