In a dramatic escalation of Israel’s ground operations, IDF troops have uncovered and destroyed a massive Hamas tunnel stretching nearly one kilometer beneath Gaza’s Zeitoun area.
The tunnel, fortified with living quarters and packed with weapons, was allegedly used by Hamas operatives to stage attacks against Israeli forces.
Soldiers from the elite 7th Brigade under the 99th Division spearheaded the operation, working closely with the Israeli Air Force to dismantle the underground infrastructure.
The IDF confirmed that several Hamas operatives were neutralized during the raid, while stockpiles of weapons were seized.
