Toyota Gazoo Racing is paving the way for emission-free racing: With the "GR LH2 Racing Concept," the motorsport subsidiary is now presenting a race car powered by liquid hydrogen.
The prototype will be exhibited in the "H2 Village" of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest during the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 14 and 15).
The high-performance concept vehicle is based on the Toyota GR010 Hybrid hypercar, with which the team is competing in the endurance classic and the full FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
By conducting test and demonstration drives of the GR LH2 Racing Concept on various racetracks, Toyota aims to contribute to the continuous development of hydrogen technology and infrastructure – and thus demonstrate the potential of hydrogen in motorsport.
