Russia and Ukraine have completed the second phase of a record-setting prisoner swap, with 307 soldiers returned to each side, the Russian Defense Ministry announced.
The agreement, forged during landmark talks in Türkiye earlier this month, marks the largest exchange in the ongoing conflict.
Russian soldiers were first taken to Belarus for medical and psychological support.
With 1,000 POWs agreed to be exchanged from both ends, this massive humanitarian gesture signals rare cooperation amidst the conflict.
The process is expected to continue in the coming days.
