The plan was reportedly pitched by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during back-channel talks in Oman as an alternative to President Trump’s demand to dismantle Iran’s entire nuclear program.
While the U.S. envoy denied such a proposal was made, Tehran maintains uranium enrichment is non-negotiable.
