Education Crisis in Yemen: 6 Million Children are Out of School

More than 6 million Yemeni children remain out of school since war erupted in 2015.

Thousands of teachers left their job.

A staggering 3,768 educational facilities lie in ruin, either wholly or partially destroyed, their once hallowed halls of learning reduced to mere shadows of their former selves.

Approximately 435 schools have been utterly obliterated, their very foundations razed to the ground by the relentless onslaught of coalition strikes.

An additional 1,578 institutions bear the scars of this brutal onslaught, their structures partially damaged, yet still standing as haunting reminders of the violence that has engulfed the land.
