Following Biden's visit, the UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, embarks on a two-day trip to Israel and the wider region, joining other foreign leaders in personal efforts to prevent the conflict from escalating.
Sunak will engage in meetings with Israeli PM Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog before proceeding to a number of other regional capitals.
