Watchdog group demands accountability from Israeli military for killing at least 20 journalists

The Committee to Protect Journalists released a report Tuesday detailing the killing of at least 20 journalists by Israeli troops over the past two decades.

Robert Mahoney, Director of Special Projects for CPJ, told CNN how the watchdog campaign group is demanding accountability and prosecution for the killing of these journalists.

Mahoney added that 18 of the reporters killed by the Israel Defense Forces were Palestinian.

In response, Israel's military says it regrets any harm to civilians and does not intentionally target non-combatants.
