[Rebel Civics] Winners Write the History Books

The question of secession is one about the higher authority of the states above the general government.

Yes, a state can constitutionally leave the union based the state and people’s decision alone.

This principle is recognized by both the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.

The Declaration is a secessionist document - not a founding one.

But secession is not included in the version of history taught in the government schools today.

The victor's schools teach the opposite, because the US government won the War for Southern Independence.

As is true in all of history, the winners write the history books.

Keith discusses secession, General Robert E.

Lee, and the principles behind a US state lawfully leaving the union.
