On 29 April 1993, ITN's Vernon Mann travelled to Nailsea in North Somerset to report on the astonishing case of Pippy the Budgerigar.
After getting lost in the neighbourhood, Pippy was rescued from some menacing magpies by local woman Ruth Durbin.
Welcoming Pippy into her home, Ruth was shocked to hear her guest repeating its home address.
Soon enough, Pippy was reunited with her owner, Mr Arthur Bendon, at 7 Strawberry Close, Nailsea.
