State disaster emergency declared as monkeypox cases soar in New York

Late Friday, Gov.

Kathy Hochul declared a state disaster emergency as monkeypox cases continue to soar.

The governor says more than a quarter of the country's cases are right here in New York and more vaccines and testing are on the way.
