Education Sec: We have the evidence to improve schools

Education Secretary Nadhim Zahawi acknowledges he needs to "change" the fact that only two thirds of children are leaving primary school with adequate reading, writing and maths skills, saying "we have the evidence of what really works".

He believes the ways forward are "high-performing academy trusts" scaled around the UK and high-quality teaching which is one of the "greatest determinant of outcomes in education".
