Santa Barbara Marina and Wharf, the breakwater was built in 1928 and allowed for a safe harbor.
The fishing fleet doubled; in 1940 there were 205 boats.
Today the marina is home to some 200 fishing vessels and hosts numerous recreational boats and activities.
