Crouch in Evansville to speak with local leaders during an economic luncheon at the Tropicana.

New tonight - lieutenant governor suzanne crouch- an evansville native- was in town today -- for a luncheon at the tropicana.

She joined local community leaders -- including mayor lloyd winnecke - to discuss agriculture -- community -- and the over all economics of southern indiana.

"i have always been so impressed with the progression of southwest indiana -- the collaboration and partnership that they exhibit here.

It's inspiring for me to be here in such an important and special part of the state and i get as much energy from them as i hope that they get from me."

Crouch works in indy -- she says -- she loves coming back to the area every weekend -- to remain grounded by her roots.
