Multiple crews battle a house fire in Oriskany Falls
Is suffering from minor injuries following a house fire just south of oriskany falls.
This person was the sole occupant of the home, but had a friend over at the time who is said to be okay.
Crews were called to route 12-b a little after 8:30 last night.
After a significant amount of smoke and water damage, the oriskany falls fire chief tells us the home is destroyed.
The chief says this house sits just outside the village, and is actually near the oneida-madison county line in madison's fire district.
But as you'll hear.... his crews were the first to arrive on scene and battle this fire.

48:53;07 "i was the first unit to arrive.
I found heavy flames in front of the building, on the road-side of the building.
The building was well- involved."
49:15;02 "it was difficult, we had a lot of hot spots.
The fire was in the eaves and under the tin roof."
Chief petrie tells us the red cross has been notified to help the victim.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
