Virtual education programs at Utica Zoo

The Utica Zoo is offering virtual education programs throughout January and February, so kids can learn about some of the zoo animals.

Unveiled their winter 2021 virtual education program schede..as wel hatchlings program is designed for kids ages 2 to 5.

It features a series of 30-minute online programs that will focus on one animal per week for a 6-week period.

Each session will feature songs, activities, and crafts.

Sessions are held once a week, on thursday mornings, starting at 10am on zoom.

With growing numbers of covid-19 cases locally.... organizers say they developed these resources as a way to make virtual learning fun and engaging for young students.

There is a small fee involved.

The first virtual hatchings on the zoo's facebook page is set for thursday, january 14th.
