Multiple search and rescue operations -- underway in madison county right now.

Crews just finished up helping an injured hiker on the land trust trail off cecil ashburn drive.

And a woman and her dog have been missing for 24 hours.

Dozens of sheriff's deputies and firefighters recently expanded their search in hopes of finding her.

We begin with that missing woman and dog in madison county.

This afternoon- dozens of volunteer firefighters, family and madison county sheriff's deputies are out looking for the woman and dog on your screen.

Take a good look at the two.

They were last seen walking in madison county on new years eve..

That's shelby clark- and her corgi named stumpy.

Clark lives near ready section road in ardmore.

And volunteers helping search for her have recieved tips she was spotted about 6 miles away near opp reynolds road and shady lane as recently as this morning.

Waay 31's sydney martin is out in the area where search crews have spent more than 24 hours looking for her..

Dan, family is passing out these flyers with her picture hoping somebody might recognize shelby clark and her dog stumpy..

Right now, they tell me they're concerned because she is a diabetic.

Dozens of people are helping search for clark and stumpy.

Bobo and toney volunteer fire departments, the madison county sheriff's office, along with various k-9 groups are trying to also see if they can pick up a scent using their dogs to figure out where she might be or is headed.

Volunteers told me they searched miles into the woods, checked abandoned homes and are asking people to check any home surviellance videos to see if she's been near their home.

Her nephew told me they just want her home safe and are thankful for the mild weather that's made searching for her today easier..

"she currently is diabetic.

We don't know if she has had her medication, if she took any medication with her.

She is also in the pre-stages of leukemia.

But i do know that she is a real bad diabetic.

So we're concerned that she hasn't eaten, drink had anything of sorts within the last 24 hours.

" the sheriff's office is asking anyone who has seen woods to call 9-1-1..

They believe she might have on a red and plack plaid flannel coat.
