125 Live Honors Veterans

Today those who served our nation were honored at 125 live.

Veteran's day./// 102 years ago today marked the end of what was considered the most destructive and far reaching war in the history of mankind: world war one.

That's why decades later november 11th was designated as veterans day.

Jeremy katie for nearly five years, 125 has been honoring veterans.

To thank them for there service, each year, one lucky veteran recieves a quilt while others have the opportunity to win them through a raffle.

I spoke to eric andringa who was reconized as the veteran of the year by the active adult center.

There are certain parts of being a veteran that he holds dear.

Well just the priviledge of being able to serve the united states army for twenty eight years and um that was just a great privledge within itself due to covid, this year the event was only open to 125 live's members.

They still plan to hold the event again next year with the rest of the community.
