The November election is coming up and your mail-in ballots will be arriving in the upcoming weeks.

Three candidates are vying for the Chico City Council District 3 seat, Kami Denlay, Steve Breedlove, and Ann Schwab.

Here is Kami Denlay on why she's running

Hello my name is Kami deadly and I am proud to be a 5th generation she going and mother of four Jacob has always been known as being an ideal place to raise a family with stunning natural Jewels such as Babel part and a thriving local business Community has displayed but our historic and turning downtown however in recent years we have witnessed a decline in our quality of life families and businesses are fleeing or communities due to an increase in hazardous need a litter and our Parks nightly fireworks from illegal encampment at a city council majority it was turning a blind eye to the degradation of our community parents like myself are concerned who recommends that are parks at home for criminal vagrants the needle hand Out programs should be provided a clear path to exist in our community and display the opinion that unless your ideas lineup with their agenda your voice and we doesn't deserve to be heard that's why I decided to run for Chico city council District 3 is trying to take those families and business owners feel hurt and valued me my step up and be protecting our parks and cream and is a space needle programs and support our local business owners we must fight back against Rising crime in our community that's why I'm grateful to be endorsed by the chico Police Officers Association and greatly appreciate their efforts to keep our community safe I am passionate about preserving Chico's Legacy for our children grandchildren and future generations to come I will focus on what's best for Chico and be a strong voice for our community vote for new leadership vote for me carry that weight for Chico city council
