Fort Wayne Police announce two hour trick or treating for this year's Halloween.

Fort wayne police announce two hour trick or treating for this year's halloween.

Fox 55's jentill neal tells us how parents feel about the changes.

Jentill?hunter, this halloween will look a little different- maybe this time everyone will be in a mask with their costume.

They'll definitely be out a little earlier.

Fort wayne police say this year's halloween hours will be 5:30 to 7:30.

A little earlier than before when it was 6 to 8.

>18:47:10-18:47:29"time and daylight is a little less during that period.

We don't want to wait too late in the evening where it's really really dark.

We set it at 5:30-7:30.

We're hoping that it proceeds as normal for the kids.

It usually is a bad horrible day weather wise and it always has been in the past."fort wayne police chief steve reed and the allen county health department are working together to create a plan to keep everyone safe during the pandemic.

The official health plan has not been released yet.but malinda harris and her son shane harris are looking forward to it-mask included.> 18:53:20-18:53:32"there's definitely going to be a mask, so the costume most likely won't have a full mask, or there will be a mask that's incorporated into it somehow."

Jennifer mata says she's still thinking about if she and her family will participate this year.>18:54:30-18:54:39"it's kind of like everything is up in the air.

I would say the plan is to probably do something small with family."

Even though there may be less people out this year, harris says she expects people out after 7:30.18:53:44-18:53:57 "i'm not worried about my children being out pass that time, but since it's a friday- saturday night, i think that there will be stragglers and a lot of people that aren't going to abide by the curfew, but that happens every year."

There aren't any penalities for staying out past the 3 curfew, but police are asking that you follow it.huntington also released their halloween hours which is 6 to 8.
