3 happening now--protestors are gathering outside of the lafayette police department in response to the departmen's handling of recent incidents involving the fatal shooting of trayford pellerin and most recently the arrest of a teen at a bowling alley.

Community members including some representing the acadiana chapter of the naacp are demanding an end to police brutality.

3 video of officers arresting that teenager is now circulating all over social media.

It happened around 11:30 saturday night.police say they got a call that someone there had a gun...but located a teenager and no gun in sight.

Hours later, they returned for an alleged traffic stop.tha's when a 16- year-old boy - got into an argument with officers that quickly escalated.

The teen was arrested and charged with interfering, battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Interim chief scott morgan says after watching the video, he ordered an immediate investigation and one officer is on administrative leave.

Two others are temporarily pulled from regular duty while the investigation continues.

After the video spread like wildfire... people across social media have chimed in with their thoughts.

Lafayette parish naacp president released a statement saying quote "once again, we find ourselves disturbed, witnessing excessive use of force against citizens, lack of de escalation tactics, and poor training...end quote.
