McCutcheon turns offense over to QB Bryant for season opener

McCutcheon is looking to take the next step in 2020.

Season previews ..

We often look at how a program is looking to take the next step ..

That certainly applies to mccutcheon ..

But the mavericks are also turning to their next quarterback ..

For a third straight season ..

The mavs have a new starting q- b.

Peyton williams is long gone ..

And mason douglas ..

Mccutcheon's quarterback last year graduated ..

Micah bryant to start this season at least on friday ..

Bryant beat out zach whe job ..

Mccutcheon finished 6-5 last season falling to harrison in a sectional championship p.

That was with douglas running the show ..

And that's not an exaggeration ..

Douglas threw for 13 touchdowns ..

He also ran for over 1,000 yards to go with 18 td's.

Tough shoes to fill ..

But head coach ken frauhiger believes bryant is the guy to succeed douglas....and lead the mavs to victory over a tough guerin catholic team... ken:they're not gonna beat themselves they play over and over and over again kids play exceptionally hard.

So i mean they'll play exceptionally hard, and we'll have to match their intensity.

Micah's going to start on friday...they're gonna challenge us....whether it be a practice, game whatever, we feel like everyday we're with our kids its positive and i think our kids feel like that too.

Tnk they're doing very well.

Practice hard....keep their stuff clean...it's been an odd year but they're doing very well ..
