Needs.

Huntsville hospital ceo david spillers told me today- the hospitals are safe- and anyone who needs care is urged to come and not delay because they are worried about coronavirus.

He said the hospital is safer than many other places because of the cleaning and safety protocols in place.

> don't avoid the hospitals or your physician becasue you're afraid you are going to be in contact with the people who have covid.

We are seeing an increase in the number of people in our facility particularly in our trauma center who are coming in with heart attacks and heart issues that have waited later than they should.

People are saying you know i had chest paints for a couple of weeks but i didn't want to come to the hospital because i was afraid of covid.

And now they have heart problems and some of them are fairly bad.

If you need routine cardiac care, you've got heart issues, get that.

If you have other health related issues where you need to see a doctor on a regular basis please do that.

Don't defer.

Because that can lead to some bigger problems if you can do that."

Spillers said they're also looking at starting up elective inpatient surgey again next week at the hospital..

Under the assumption that coronavirus cases will continue to decline..and they'll start to have less coronavirus patients in the hospital.
