Madison County school district meal pickup program starts Wednesday

Right now Madison County School District officials are making preparations for its meal pick up program it's to ensure students enrolled in the virtual program still get breakfast and lunch for the first nine weeks of school as Madison County student starting virtual learning on Wednesday they'll also be able to pick up their meal Madison County School District's director of equity and Innovation Dr Rachel Ballard says families will pick up their mail from their unrolled school at a designated time so if students currently receive free and reduced meals save that will continue on my family's who typically pay for their meals that will continue as well dr. Ballard also says a families don't have transportation access to pick up their meal someone will deliver it to them they'll be charged the same right whether it's free reduced or full price we are asking families for 48 hour turnaround time so if they apply today our goal is to have the meals delivered to them by Wednesday so far they're nearly 19,000 students enrolled in the program for families who have not yet signed up dr.
