Dick Smith's Tavern in Utica and Side Street Bar in Mohawk have their liquor licenses suspended for covid violations

Licenses suspended by the state for violating the state's new coronavirus pandemic regulations set in place for bars and restaurants.

The first, is dick smiths on schuyler street in utica.

Investigators with the state say they saw a dozen people gathered around the bar area, not wearing face masks.

One invetigator said they had to squeeze through that group of people to get a drink...the investiator also says the bartender wasn't wearing a face mask.

The other bar is "side street" on south otsego street in mohawk.

Investigators who went there say there were about 30 patrons in the bar, and they say 19 peole were standing at the bar with no face coverings, and they weren't eating food.

The visits were made on friday.

Again, both of these establishments have had their liquor licenses suspended.
