Virtual Devices Not Delivered

This morning, the huntsville city school district is still waiting on back ordered chromebooks as virtual learning begins next week.

In just a few hours, students will pick-up laptops at several schools like here at hampton cove elementary.

The district says all students who need them will have devices for the start of school on monday.

But-- because of "supply chain disruptions" they're waiting on hundreds of chromebooks they ordered months ago!

For now- new students will use a loaner device and returning students will use the device they already have--- that is, until the new laptops arrive.

Over in scottsboro city schools, superintendent dr jose reyes said the district is waiting on 500 chromebooks that were supposed to be delivered between october and december!

But now, he expects to have them in about a month.

Reyes says the district only had 165 students request laptops so they should have enough when school starts next week.

The huntsville city school district did not say when it expects the devices to arrive.
