Teachers needing help filling supply lists that meet safety standards

Story "we just don't know how we're going back to school yet -- and we're less than a month away."

As school districts prepare their reopening plans for fall limbo -- ""will we start when we said we were going too?

Will we get to go the whole semester?"

To support them newburgh united methodist church members --- creating a whole week just for them.

Their second gift to teachers -- a massive amazon wish list "a hundred and sixty seven teachers responded -- and it was overwhelming."

Supply needs are different than years past "extra masks for students -- individual hand-sanitizers, our recesses have changed so equipment for indoor and outdoor recess -- they can pretty much, they can't share anything.

So everything that we would usually have communal -- would no longer happen."

"i've never done an amazon wish-list before but with our unique circumstances -- i've added some things -- extra frisbees, soccer balls, kan-jam-- other outdoor activities that the kids can still do outside and safely and still get some exercise."

And while filling a classrooms isn cheap not the only thing that has teachers worried enforcing students to wear masks, making sure they stay socially distanced all while trying to stay safe themselves.

"i have a compromised immune system so you know i'm facing that too on how to i go back to the classroom safely with my students."

Another big fear -- will there be another shutdown?

"no one really knows -- this virus has been so hit and miss that you kind of just prepare for everything."
