MSU was one of three schools to have two players picked in the first round of the 2020 MLB Draft.

2nd baseman Justin Foscue went to the Rangers and shortstop Jordan Westburg went to the Orioles.

Mlb draft happened tonight and a few mississippi state bulldogs were on the edge of their seats to see if their name was called.

Second baseman justin foscue was drafted by texas rangers, he was taken at 14.

Foscue is the highest msu draft pick since hunter renfroe going 13th in 2013.

Fellow bulldogs shortstop jordan westburg and pitcher j.t.

Ginn were also in the running (update).

Mississippi state commit austin hendrick from west allegheny high school in pennsylvania was taken 12th by the cincinnati reds.

Hendrick now has to decide whether to go pro or play at state.

The mlb draft is only 5 rounds this year, it's usually 40.

Rounds two through five will take place tomorrow night starting at 4 pm central.

State has at least one high school commit who could be taken.
