The resocialization of collegiate sports action plan considerations was announced as schools acrs the country prepare for the return of football players to university campuses as early as june 8th.
The ncaa's division i council voted last week to lift a moratorium on athletic activities starting monday.
That cleared the way for voluntary workouts and training to begin at team facilities.
Schools have already started putting plans in place to test athletes, coaches and staff for the coronavirus while implementing social distancing.
The ncaa says its plan is offered as guidance and is consistent with federal and local public health guidelines.
The n-c-a-a division three administrative committee annncetoday it has reced the minimum number of required contests for teams to play for championship qualification ands3 percent.
This was also implemented - in part - to help institutions design more flexibility into competition schedules that fit into revised academic calendars due to the result of the pandemic.
For example - the miminum game requirement for men's and women's ice hockey is 12 - men's and women's soccer...9 - football...5 - and lacrosse...7.
