Richmond man is dead after being hit by car

A richmond man is dead after being hit by a car early this morning.

Richmond police say willam pollard was struck while walking on eastern bypass and dwight drive just before five.

He was rushed to u-k hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating in the investigation.

They say there is no sign the driver was intoxicated.

A crash in pike county has left one person dead.

The crash happened just before midnight wednesday on turkey creek road in the south williamson area.

State police say a driver was thrown from the vehicle after losing control and crashing.

Troopers say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
