Part 3: Sheldon students pick up caps and gowns

KEZI 9 News talks to students about their experiences.

Students at sheldon high school are one step closer to graduation.

They held a senior distribution day today... to tie up some loose ends.

There were 8 stations set up in the courtyard, outside... so students could pick up caps and gowns, drop off technology and textbooks... and pick up senior signs, awards and diploma covers.

They also signed the class of 2020 senior shield.

All tables were six feet apart..

And employees had masks and gloves on.

One student says the lack of physical graduation isn't getting him down.

Peter saisslin / graduating senior sheldon high "ultimately, even if we had a physical graduation, that wasn't going to be the fulfilling factor of my life, and i hope it's not the fulfilling factor of others because we still got a lot more to live."

Duration 9" their virtual graduation is set for june 11th.

North eugene high school will hold a similar event tomorrow.
