County's first weekend in phase one didn't draw in many complaints... and, more help could be on the way for small businesses.

Kezi 9 news reporter emma withrow explains.

Devon: "in total if we're approved, we would be bringing in 1.35 million dollars to bear for our small businesses."

That money would come from a grant from the state's economic development agency, business oregon.

Officials said 55% of the funds would be allocated for rural small businesses and they are currently working on desiging the application process while they wait to hear back from business oregon.

In terms of the current state of cases in lane county, ashbridge said lane county has been doing pretty well --- only five new cases since friday, and none today.

Emma: with not a single person hospitalized from covid-19 since april, lane county is looking pretty good , which means right now, there is no real need for remdesivir here.

"certainly we are tracking that number and if something changes that may change as well.

As far as thoughts on remdesivir, certainly its exciting to see a growing number of potential treatments being tested."

Officials said most complaints since friday involve bussinesses not enforcing social distancing with customers, or their employees not wearing masks.
