The pandemic has forced people to pray and strengthen their faith virtually?
While staying at home?
Social distancing.
But today?
That's not the case.
Kimt news 3's maleeha kamal shows us how a group of pastors in austin are celebrating national day of prayer.
On the scene look live: at least 8 church came together for a prayer cruise.
They went to four location to pray for people one of those stops was here at the mower county law enforcement center.

Around 30 people are finding creative ways to pray together... the group traveling to four locations around the austin community.
Pastor dan mueller says the pandemic is creating a lot of heartache and uncertainity.
At the top of the prayer list?
Those tirelessly fighting covi?

Pastor sot: "it's really a collaboration of several churches we wanted to do something but we wanted to do something that was safe and that allows people to pray together.
We wanted that community side of prayer.
There are so many prayer warriors that are praying every day.
They are reaching out to god everyday so to bring them together."

Flynn says she is devoted to her county and faith.
For the last decade she's taken part in national day of prayer... saying todays service is one for the books.

Todays service is gayla stone's first time taking part.

Gayla stone stot: "i thought lord what should i do and i decided to let people know we are praying for them everywhere that we are national day of prayer is obseved yearly on the first thurday of may.
