Starting tomorrow -- hyvee will limit the amount of meat you can buy during a shopping trip to 4 packages per customer -- that includes beef, pork and chicken... the company says the product is available but because of worker shortages at plants as well as an increase in demand ... customers may not find the specific items they're looking for.

Hyvee is among a growing number of supermarket chains rationing meat sales as more americans are buying more beef and pork than ever... demand for meat up an estimated 40% - while production of beef and pork is down at least 25% with outbreaks sickening thousands of workers at over 100 meat processing plants nationwide..
