Graditude.

This year it's going virtual.

00:03:01?:14 they'll have a recording of the commencement and graduates going across the stage and then &.they sent in our senior portraits.

Liz judge is going to be one of those graduates this weekend, graduating with a degree in education.

00:01:30 & :40 it's so disappointing because we thought we'd be with our friends and family but they're doing as much as they can to keep us excited.

That disspointment is being shared with college students from across the country this year... but at portland state university there is a petition circulating to delay the school's virtual graudation that's scheduled for this june.

00:00:37- :45 i have a myriad of feelings, i'm out raged &.i'm shocked by the lack of insensitivity by psu administration.

Debbie kemp has two kids graduating this year.

Kemp has been trying to get in touch with the university to hold off this year's commencment 00:01:16?:27 the students are asking for psu to postpone they want the chance that they deserve &.walk across the state with their peers.

She believes students have been working too hard not to have their dreams of a degree celebrated with their family and friends.

00:03:18?:22 there is so many ways to adopt this and change this and to work this out.

For liz, she's trying to find the silver lining in all of this.

00:03:35 :45 my grandparents wouldn't have had been able to make it if they had to travel to portland &..i get to watch it with them on my coach.

And hoping she'll eventually be able to celebrate with a more traditional ceremony.

00:00:55 00:01:00 they did promise us an in person &.so we're holding out hope for that.

Roseburg high school will be hosting a virtual graduation ceremony this year instead of canceling the ceremony due to coronavirus.

Staff and students will pre- record speeches before hand.

Then, each student name will be called with a video of family members handing put the diploma.

The ceremony will be followed by a drive by parade in the high school parking lot.

One parent says she disappointed, but she glad the school is making the effort.
