Earlier today parents and students drove through here..at riverside elementary..

And were given postcards that they could use to express how this time in our history is impacting them.

How it will work is each week there will be a new prompt..

Like what is one of the kindest things you've seen during this time or who has been the kindest to you.

You can then use that promt as a creative outlet.

The cards are sel?addressed and the district says no postage is required.

The hope is participants from all cros?sections of the community including nursing homes..

Healthcare workers and essential workers will participate to show we're in this together.

<creating a sense of connectedness in the community is really the goal at a time when we're feeling the most disconnected but also we know that kids aren't the only people who are feeling these emotions so the other goal is to get these out to the greater community> after the postcard art is collected the district is planning to create an art installation to display for the community at castle community.

It's in partnership with threshold arts.

You can also participate digitally..

We have a link to how you can share your art online on kim?do?com.

Live in rocheste?

Jessica bringe kimt news 3 thank you jessica.

The postcards can be picked up every wednesday beginning next week from eleven to noon at select rps meal service locations.

The art project runs every week until june
