People are looking for ways to give back and tonight's one special way.

Pretty soon this parking lot at baptist memorial golden triangle is expected to be full of people from the community to show their support for our healthcare workers.

It's called the parking lot appreciation parade.

Our healthcare workers are putting in countless hours..risking their health throughout this coronavirus pandemic.

One of the organizers, chelsea austin says she got the idea after seeing similar things in other cities...with columbus dubbed the friendly city she said...why not.

"prayer works and us as a community, if we all come together, special things can happen.

I truly believe that columbus, mississippi is a great community and i'm so thankful for everyone who has wanted to participate and come tonight."

Folks can start parking at 6:30 tonight.
