Retail stores across North Mississippi opened up their doors for the first time since Governor Tate Reeves' order to shut down nonessential businesses.

Today is the first day robin's unique boutique is open since the governors shelter in place expired this morning.

While i was here a steady stream of customers came in and out.

I spoke with the owner who told me she is excited for more of her customers to come in.

She closed her store when governor tate reeves' issued the shelter in place in order.

Bounds said people are more than ready to come out.

Sot: "just ready to get out of their homes.

I think everybody ready's to come out and shop.

Employees started prepping for reopen last week.

A company came in and professionally cleaned the store.

Employees also installed a sanitation station for customers to clean their hands before shopping.

Employees also wipe down the store with clorox wipes every hour.

Sot: kym holley shopper "knowing that i can trust them to keep everything clean in here.

I know i'm in no harm's way.

So, i'm excited to be able to come out and do something."

Kim holley is a frequent visitor to the boutique.

She ordered online and did curbside pickup when the store closed.

Getting me out the house is making me a little happy."

Bounds said the biggest thing is making sure her customers say safe.

Bounds said she hopes customers continue to come into the store.

She said they are also making sure the number of people in the store is at fifty percent capacity in compliance with governor reeves orders.
