Restaurant reopenings

Chattanooga restaurants prepare to reopen.

Today is the first day some businesses in tennessee are allowed to start the reopening process.

Over the weekend hamilton county mayor jim coppinger announced all restaurants in hamilton county could open.

But they are only allowed to open at half capacity, only 6 people to a table and proper social distancing rules must be opened.

Owner of the purple daisy picnic cafe are opening their dining room for the first time in several weeks.

They say they took every precaution possible before deciding to go ahead and open and are ready to have some normalcy again.

"it feels really good to be able to come back and open up some tables and have our regular customs come in.

To be able to socialize with them again , at a distance.

It's going to feel real nice to feel like you are doing someone normal again."

Purple daisy says all their servers will still follow cdc guidelines for as long as needed.

All the tables have been measured at 6 feet apart along with limited seating.
