70-year-old Oriskany woman surprised with birthday parade

The cancellation of birthday celebrations for hundreds of people here in the mohawk valley.

But it's also lead to some very special ones.

Like the one this afternoon in oriskany.

Family and friends of diana pierce surprised her on her 70th birthday with a special ...socially distant...birthday parade.

They drove by her home honking horns and waving happy birthday signs.

Even stopping across the street to sing happy birthday to her.

Family members said she was feeling a little down, after a big party they had planned for her had to be cancelled and hoped the parade would cheer her up.

"they said come and sit outside it's nice out.so i brought my mask and saw the parade.

I didn't think it would be for me.".

Diana says her family is going to have to work very hard next year to toph very specibirthday.
