>> today we're making it all about our pets, and we wanted to check in with our good friend, margo parish to see how she and her good friend are holding up in the quarantine.

>> she's so tired.

>> why is she so tired?

>> we have been doing a lot of walking.

I already work from home as you talked about, but it's been really great.

And now that the weather is nice, and we're outside more, and since we can't really go to the dog park right now because all of the parks are closed, we have had the ability to walk around the lakes and walk the battery and peach street is closed.

And she has loved t.

>> you've been having it all to yourself and keeping your social distancing as well.

But i wanted to know if you have any tips or tricks, because people who live in apartment situations and condos and things like that, yes, you're able to take your pet out for these walks, but what else have you been doing with parma to keep her occupied and from climbing the walls?

>> i ordered parma a lot of toys before this got crazy, and she has gotten a lot of time outside.

It has been kind of weird when we see a lot of dogs out because she's not how she usually was.

She said confused when i go to the grocery store and i don't get with other dogs right now, but try to be as normal as possible, because if not -- their separation anxiety is just like ours, and everybody is feeling in the comfort of their own home, but it's going to be just as hard of an adjustment for themas it is for us.

>> people have been posting these cute stories on social media.

The dogs thrilled to be there, and the cats, everyone can't wait to go back to work, and if you have a dog, they get very attached and are there things that people can do now to sort of wean them off of being so dependent and seeing you every day?

>> i would try to keep it as normal as possible, and if you go on a walk, you don't have to take them every single time.

If i go to the store, i tell her to get in the kennel, and i give her a treat before i go.

So kind of keep the repetition to keep it going, and teach them tricks if you are having them sleep in the kennel, it's going to be hard for them to read.

So keep it as normal as having to go outside, keep it consistent because they will realize about you're giving them extra treats.

>> and i realize that parma is crate trained, and not every dog sleeps in a crate.

So would you recommend they keep them in a closed environment and a safe environment?

>> especially if your dog went from doggie day cares or seeing other how they're going to react when they see dogs for the first time or have dogs back in their presence, because they don't adjust as well as we do.

So like i said, keep it as normal as possible, and this is a great time to crate train them.

And last week, my mom was visiting and we did a lot of different things, but we kept her consistent with going in her kennel and going to the bathroom outside and making sure that there are no accidents, and if she chewed on something, we make sure that there was no punishment.

>> let's talk about your services and you do dog walking and dog sitting through rover.com, and you are currently working, but of course maintaining the covid-19 edict, keeping your space and things like that, so maybe tell people how to take advantage of your services and i know you're helping people in the medical industry right now.

>> i walk someone's dog, but it's the same routine, but they do have lysol disinfecting everything, with the leash, and the hand sanitizer when i go in and i come back in and wipe everything off.

And i haven't everything is still in need, if you're in need of someone walking your dog, you can contact me on rover, or look for others in the area.

Because being at the hospital overnight or on the front line, there's always someone to take care of your dog and they will have a special place in the day to take them on a walk.

>> thank you, margo, thank you so much, it's so good to see you and miss parma and stay healthy, you two.
