4J School District seeks connection amid pandemic
The campaign was designed to share stories of positivty.

The eugene 4j school district has a new way of keeping families engaged and looking ahead... as schooling is looking much different than before.

Kezi 9 news reporter kennedy dendy shows us what this new campaign is all about.

As classes have*gone digital for students and staff across oregon, families are searching for ways to*remain connected, even during a pandemic.

Right here in eugene, there is now an opportunity to do just that.

Kerry:?eugene school district 4j will be sharing stories of kindness and caring and connections throughout this pandemic under the hashtag 4j better together?

It a campaign...inviting the community to share their stories of positivity, to showcase what theye learned and accomplished...and to keep the district*united.

Bridge: high school seniors i spoke to tell me that staying connected is important and that any extension of kindness is appreciated during this time.

Piper:?i just thankful that everybody is recognizing that this is hard and that something has been taken away.

It's really cool that people are still looking to help us get through this?

And for the seniors... whose final moments of high school have been cut short.

Theye being honored in a variety of ways...from colorful yard signs for*every senior in the district...to a porch light campaign that schools and the community are taking part in on fridays.

Michaela:?feeling seen and kind of heard by the community is really valuable so even if it a yard sign, stuff like that, really does go a long way for us?

To join in on the 4j better together campaign, your stories and highlights can be shared through a google form on the school district website.
