Bike Sales Surge Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

According to Reuters, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, many people are ditching public transportation and turning to bikes.

Fear of catching the virus on a bus or subway is one of the main reasons why people are flocking to bikes.

John Donohue, a Brooklyn, New York-based artist doesn't own a car and says he's not sure when he'll feel safe riding the subway again.

He recently bought a bike.

He explained, “I’m 51 and healthy, but I don’t want to get on the subway.
