It's why mayor tab bowling is urging morgan county residents to follow the governors stay at home order.

Mayor bowling said he's challenging residents to check on their friends and neighbors through phone calls and facetime only.

He said it's crucial residents continue to follow social distancing and c-d-c guidelines especially for the next two weeks.

Morgan county health officials say everyone is going to have to do their part if they want to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Judy smith, morgan co health dept: "until we take care of the enemy that is us it's going to be very difficult to take care of the huge enemy that is this virus."

The mayor will be holding a digital safety town hall tommorrow afternoon with the police and fire chief and residents can email in any questions they have for them.
