One local charity is moving their event online to comply with social distancing.

This year the university of minnesotaá rochester will host a virtual st.

Baldrick's fundraiser.

The event encourages participants to shave their heads as a way to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer.

Organizer natalie bobick says it's been a diffcult decision to move the event online.xxx "we made the decision to make it a virtual event because of the coronavirus.

So that was a hard transition.

How could me make it virtual but fun and interactive.

So far á we're told participation is significantly lower this year.

Bobick says they're hoping having a virtual event will reach a wider range of people and raise awareness.
