Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving one vehicle which happened at around 10.10am on Tuesday 10 November.

The incident took place on a downhill section of an unclassified road at Whistley Hill Cross near Ashburton and involved a 51-year-old local woman who suffered life-threatening injuries.

She was airlifted to Derriford Hospital. Her next of kin have been informed.

Police attended the scene and an examination took place. The road was closed for around five hours.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the nature of incident. Anyone with any knowledge of this collision are requested to contact police on 101 and quote log number 225 101120.
